Jingle All the Way!

Get ready to jingle all the way to our Holiday Recital on Saturday, December 14th, where our talented students will not only dazzle you with their musical skills but will also share a festive afternoon filled with treats and holiday cheer! Admission is absolutely free, and families are encouraged to bring as many guests as they like — the more, the merrier!

Be sure to arrive 15 minutes early to The Concert Hall at Mira Costa College, and wear your finest concert attire or your favorite Christmas sweater — we’re talking twinkling lights and all. Can’t wait to see you there! And don’t forget — it’s not just the music that’s sweet, but the treats too!

Speaking of timing, we don't want you to miss a beat, so please plan to stay and enjoy the entire show. Our recitals are typically about 1 hour. We want the first student and last student to have the same audience-and that's you! 🎶

Now, for the important part — snacks! 😄 Students with last names A-G, get ready to quench everyone’s thirst by bringing a drink; H-N, it’s time to whip up something savory; and O-Z, you have the “sweetest" responsibility—bring something sugary! Please place your goodies on the tables set up in the back, and get ready for the show!

If it's your first or fifth recital here is a friendly reminder for appropriate performance protocol: Student smiles 😊 while walking onto the stage and taking a bow as the audience claps to welcome the performer to the stage. Student plays the piece and bows after the performance and audience claps again. Student smiles 😊while exiting the stage.

Please bring your book, even if you are playing from memory. It's a good habit to always be prepared. 📖

Finally, while not required, it is customary for students and teachers to receive flowers 💐 or other small gestures from friends and family after a performance.

Below is the map of Mira Costa College. If you enter the campus from College Bvld. near Home Depot, you will turn into the campus and once inside, turn left to avoid driving around the entire campus to get to the music department.
